About Dr. Tara Clapp, ND
Hi, I’m Dr. Tara Clapp, ND
Anti-Aging & Bio-Identical Hormone Specialist
It is actually amazing how I ended up where I am today. All through public school (literally since grade 1) I wanted to be veterinarian and worked at a local veterinarian clinic in high school. I went to the University of Guelph with that intention, but once there started to develop an interest in human health and enhancement.
I was living off the typical university food and had gained over 50 pounds in 2 years! I was fat, bloated and didn’t like the changes in my once-athletic body. I had given up sports for studying. It was then that I realized that if I wanted to feel better, that I needed to change my diet and get active again. It was during this time that I discovered naturopathic medicine. The naturopathic doctor that I consulted with put me a specialized eating plan and a few key supplements, and I started doing circuit training at the gym. I felt great! I then added some nutrition courses to my program out of self interest and everything spiraled from there.
I graduated in 1994 with a Specialized Honours in Human Biology, a minor in Child Studies and a second minor in Nutrition. I then received my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2000.
Consequently, I continually update my skills through new courses and conferences, and I use this information to better my clients.
I am a dedicated and caring physician, taking personal interest in my clients’ health and life.
I am a leading authority on Anti-Aging & Bio-Identical Hormones. I have taken numerous courses to advance my knowledge and have received certifications in Intravenous Nutrient Therapy, Mesotherapy for Anti-Aging and Pain Management, as well as First Line Therapy Weight Management. I have special interests in anti-aging, bio-identical hormone therapy, food and nutrition, metabolic and hormone imbalances and digestive disorders.
I combine modern lab tests, that measure your hormones and reveal your genetic susceptibilities, with effective holistic lifestyle modifications to allow the transformation magic to happen. That is why my patients get impressive results.
All of my plans are made specifically for busy women, like me and you.
Expensive equipment and unrealistic eating plans are not necessary. Dietary restrictions can be taken into account so it is individualized for you.
Your unique genetics, hormonal makeup, metabolism, digestion, detoxification pathways, immune system and neurotransmitters have very specific requirements in order for you to look, feel, and perform at your best. Let me show you how to work with your own biology and genetics to Restore your body back to a state of balance. I have created programs to address all these concerns to give you all the tools you need to finally Rediscover yourself and experience life feeling confident, passionate and Revitalized!
